EABC Issue Update: Review of EAC Common External Tariff

East African Community Secretariat between February 15th and 26th, 2010 convened a meeting of experts to undertake the review of the EAC Common External Tariff (CET).

The meeting was held following EAC Finance Ministers’ directive to EAC Secretariat to initiate the process of comprehensive review of EAC Common External Tariff (CET), administration, and collection of revenue in preparation for full implementation of the Customs Union in accordance with Article 12 (2) of EAC Customs Union Protocol.
